Morgina prefers to go by the name Gina. She and her significant other enjoy spending time with their families and she enjoys cooking and entertaining. She loves traveling, be
it road trips, train rides or in planes. She also enjoys reading historical novels and biographies, watching movies, learning new languages and listening to music of widely varying genres.
After graduation from PA school in Washington D.C, Gina joined the National Health Service Corps in Washington State, beginning her career in service to underserved communities in Western states, first, with migrant farming families in the Yakima Valley in WA and later with Native American tribes: the Colville tribe in Northeast Washington State and then, in the Southwest, with Navajo communities in Arizona. She completed that journey, assisting with a COVID vaccine program in Chinle, AZ earlier this year.
Over the years, Gina worked intermittently as a locums provider (temporary contracts), responding to the needs of differing clinics and hospitals, loving the travel opportunities
and cultural interactions this work provided.
Also intertwined between her years in the Pacific Northwest and the Southwest were a few years here in Maryland and DC, when she returned to care for her aging parents. During that time, she worked with Dr. Baksh at Healthy Steps and is very happy to be returning to join the team.
